|sleep paralysis: a phenomenon in which a individual, between sleeping or awakening, briefly experiences the inability to move, speak or react and is sometimes accompanied with horrifying hallucinations. The most common is the intruder.
The bedroom is still; silent except the wisps of slumbering breathing. It is dark... Nothing but the silver hue of the moonlight casting shadows on the walls and across the carpet. The ceiling fan creaks from time to time, but it's whirring is almost nonexistent. The sheets quietly rustle as your significant other shifts his body more comfortably, and sleepily sighs.
